Hi I’m Alex!
I’m an Army veteran, Midwest based freelance photographer. I started photography with my first disposable camera when I was 8-years-old. I was at Camp Atwood out in Rockford, Illinois, my hometown taking pictures of anything and everything. I have always been interested in cameras. from that little disposable one when I was a kid to my Canon Rebel T5 in college and now finally my Sony A7ii. I not only want to do photography and videography. I want to teach others as well. I have had no formal education in photography. Everything I’ve learned has been on my own with help from the internet by watching endless hours of Youtube. I’m a kinesthetic learner. I learn by doing. I think a hands-on approach is the best method for learning photography. Sure you could pick up a book, watch those videos. But nothing compares to actually going out there and tinkering with lighting, colors, and some post-production as well. I want to help my growing community by capturing local events. Helping small businesses advertise their products, their brand, themselves. Whatever it may be. I think I can achieve a lot with my glass and I hope as you go through my work you will give me the opportunity to capture your vision and shed some light on it.
Thank you for stopping by!
